poem of the day

i heard these lines first in the movie delhi-6, but they left my mind almost instantaneously. i heard them again in the trailer when we went to see dev d. and i realized that i liked them tremendously. again, i forgot to look them up so i could spend more than a moment on them. the words were, once again, forgotten. and then yesterday, a dear friend shared them with me in an email. no longer headed to oblivion.

Zarre zarre mein usi ka noor hai
Jhaank khud mein woh na tujhse door hai
Ishq hai usse to sabse ishq kar
Ishq hai usse to sabse ishq kar
Is ibaadat ka yahi dastoor hai

Is mein us mein aur us mein hai wahi
Is mein us mein aur us mein hai wahi
Yaar mera har taraf bharpoor hai

here's a translation (if these things can even be translated):
In every corner is his beauty to be found
Look within, and you will find him close
If there is love you feel for Him, then feel that love for all
There is no other way to worship Him

He alone is to be found in this, in that, and that
This Friend of mine, He is present everywhere
