the world is small, small, small...
first, it is exactly one year since my 'admit day' to berkeley last year - that grand old day when i met and talked to my advisor for hours over bread pudding (intensely yummy; take it from a non-dessert lover).
second, i had volunteered to help out with the admit day today, where we had 3 new phd admits visit. imagine my surprise when i ran into an oh, so familiar face, a blast from the past, a co-intern from voltage security - where we were summer interns from stanford, 4-5 years ago.
i'm a little too sleepy now to go into the intricacies of the emotion i felt to see a face re-enter my life thus. life is a continuous flow though, isn't it? and the wonder of it is that you just never know what you're going to get. not even the very next minute. we lead our lives on probabilities and likelihoods, and our ache for control (as a just shared) brings us the notion of certainty. but really, who knows.

the world is small, small, small.
went through this just a few days ago, when i was feeling down. made me smile, even if for just a while.
now if you pick a name like marvin, smiles are going to be in short supply, no?
be pollyanna instead :). and if you haven't read that book, read it.
ha ha. i like the way you frame your advice didi. but remember, at the core, i am siddhartha. so the marvin part just represents all that is good about marvin. oh. but i am talking nonsense. but really, you talk in a quaint fashion. me likes it.
i'm glad siddhartha :).
and you're right. being siddhartha, you need be no one else. all else is but a farce.
:)
ha ha...i like ur first response (i.e., the second comment) to marvin :) witty witty.
wit, like enlightenment, cannot be sought. it just happens.
know what i mean?
siddhartha would know ;).
i do. i do.
but you have to cook me a meal first. enlightenment and wit shall come to you naturally then.
